We had a great stay! We especially loved the peaceful surroundings, lake, porch, and hot tub. Relaxing and just what we needed.

Hot tub didn’t work, but once the host was aware, they had it fixed. Still didn’t get to use it the first of two nights though. Fireplace also out of order, would have been a nice amenity on the cold nights that Mother Nature decided to grace us with. Otherwise it’s a good enough place to stay for a decent size group. The kids enjoyed the lake. It was mostly equipped with kitchen items, grill worked well, once they fixed the hot tub it was lovely. Nice gated community & felt safe. Cindy at the office was instrumental in the hot tub remedy & communication!

The cabin through Scenic Cabin Rental at Red River Gorge had the correct number of beds we needed per guests, however one had a broken box spring and the mattress sunk into the frame. The gas fireplace was out of order and the heater was broken for two days; the heat was fixed after contacting the host and Scenic Cabin Rentals office numberous time and we were refunded for a day. Over all, its a cabin run by a company tht doesn't take very good care of it.

We had an awesome stay! Nancy and her staff were quick to respond and really friendly. Upon check in the cabin had a broken thermostat (by no fault of their own)- but they had it fixed by noon. I appreciated the follow up and concern. Plenty of space and provided the cabin-esque experience we sought. Thank you Nancy and team for the flexibility in check in too! Would stay here again.

Mice infested ! Stayed 2 minutes and was over with mice to the point of leaving our food and getting out of there ! Stopped payment with my bank!!

TV and hot water was spotty

Great cabin - cozy, well equipped, and great location. Fireplace was out of order, which was a bummer.

Beautiful place close to Natural Bridge State Park. Was able to fish in the small lake and enjoy the hot tub and fire pit. Drove the short distance to the State Park, took the skylift up to Natural Bridge and hiked the trails. The coffee shop (Daniel Boone) where you pick up the key is so good! Coffee and ice cream there are delicious. Disappointed that the fireplace in the cabin was out of order though. Otherwise, it was amazing.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay. We loved having the lake nearby for fishing, and it’s only minutes away from the Natural Bridge. The cabin is a little outdated, but it was clean and spacious.

Beautiful location on the lake. The house invites to cozy chats in the living area and extended mealtimes around the big table.

We took my son and his friends for Super Bowl weekend . Great location , host was amazing , fast to communicate ! Loved the whole trip , loved the lake . It was a wonderful time would love to come back in summer !

Great location, beautiful lake with dock. Host was very responsive and friendly. The space was tidy but needs a good cleaning, lots of areas of thick dust. The entire family room is a wall of windows to the high ceilings, which gives an incredible view of the surroundings, however it would be nice to have some kind of window coverings for privacy at night especially considering there are cabins that have direct line of sight into the space. Furnishings are adequate but extremely dated and had a Goodwill vibe. Overall it's a cool place to spend time in nature if you're not picky.

Had a wonderful stay at the Lakeside wonder cabin! The space was very clean and the cabin has beautiful views. The host was quick to respond when I had any questions. ??

great cozy cabin next to the lake with comfortable amenities. super close to several different crags, so climbing was near the house in any direction you choose

The lake was wonderful. Cabin in pretty good shape minus a bad step and pillows/beds need attention. Tv service definitely lacking but overall was a great experience. Bring your own can opener though! Definitely will be returning !

We had a magical time with family here. The location is absolutely perfect. The lake is private and gorgeous .The cabin was everything we wanted and needed. I hope to stay here again soon.

This l place was very nice and as advertised. Nice and central to all activity’s. I would recommend.

Nice place overall. Good value for the price. However, for an advertised place for 10 people there were not enough knives, spoons (which was fixed same day by Nancy!) but not enough chairs at the kitchen table either.

This cabin was a great time for em and my friends. It had all of the amenities that we needed to use it as a Basecamp for hiking and rock climbing for the weekend and was large enough for 10 of us to not feel like we were standing on top of each other. Would recommend and will come back again.

The location was great , the views were amazing. one small thing was the cleanliness of the home, while it didn't take away from the stay it needs a solid deep clean. There is a thick layer of dust on the walls that is visible in the seating area near the dining table and fireplace . There are stains on the carpets and on some of the blankets and a lot of dead bugs .

overall the value is there but for the price it should be a little cleaner since there is a cleaning fee added.

Great cabin

The cabin was not clean when we arrived, house keeping either didn't finish or never started it was hard to tell. And because we didn't late check in the office was not reachable when we realized. Late check in was very easy however. The next day they rectified the situation with cleaning supplies dropped off (we did not want the cleaning crew in our space but it was offered), and the cleaning fee is being refunded. I do wish we were able to get ahold of someone after hours so we didn't have to clean sheets in hot water, not having detergent.
In general i would say it was not very good value for money, it was grimy with dirty doors and floors, stains on the clean towels, and a hot tub that got hot, but the jets were more like bubbles.
Great location! Very close to RRG hiking, a beautiful lake outside of the front patio, and a fire pit with benches big enough for 6 people.
I would probably not rent there again, but I do not regret the stay either. Solid 3 stars

Awesome place to stay for a great price.

Let me just say the cabin itself/The location is amazing! You have everything you need including grill bonfire huge outdoor deck with tables and chairs . We were very pleased. Our only concern was the carpet in the rooms were very old and did have an odd smell and the beds were very outdated where we did not get the best sleep. Other than that i give this a 5 star!

The facilities were beautiful, comfortable, & stayed very warm despite the subzero temperatures that blew through with a snow & ice storm.
They allowed us to stay over due to road hazards, & when we needed to leave, but the road crews hadn't cleared our hill, she referred us to a local wrecker company who was familiar with that area & was able to get out to us & get us out of the snow & ice, to the main roads.
She communicated with us every step of the way to ensure our safety!
Would definitely recommend, & likely to book again in the future, in warmer weather so we could take advantage of the scenic hiking trails & other things that could be done around there for fun!

Great, efficient place to get together for the weekend with friends. Super close to a lot of trails and Nancy was very responsive to every question we had leading up to our trip.

Has what you need for almost everything (make sure you check with the host about what you’ll need to bring) and the hot tub was great - can’t really fit more than 6 people in at one time tho, and that’s with a good amount of squeezing.

Lakeside Wonder is in a great location. An easy, 10 minute drive to the Natural Bridge and there is a zip line tour right at the top of the street. There are several stores and restaurants within a few minutes drive.

The property was well appointed with kitchen utensils, pots and pans etc. The coffee maker is a Mr coffee basket type, so bring flat bottom, not cone filters. The hot tub is very private and will accommodate 4 adults. There is a nice gas grill with all utensils. The gas fireplace was out of order, but since the weather was nice, it wasn't missed.

Check-in could be more convenient, but at least the office is on the way to the property and you don't have to double back.

There are some things that need "freshened up" like the deck stain, but all in all, the property is in good condition.

Its location was great, but it was not clean and it did not have enough kitchen stuff for 6 people.

Great size cabin & lake access! Photos I think are a bit dated. I cleaned when I arrived. Beds were very uncomfortable.. There is nice new grill & the hot tub was great. The deck could use some cleaning & doors to deck need fixed. No blinds on windows either, but it is private so no neighbors could see in. We had a wonderful time & were close to natural bridge trail, ice cream shop, and pizza. I didn’t read supply list carefully so take extra trash bags, paper towels, etc. Plenty of kitchen items for our cooking needs. My boys loved the fishing!!

Exactly as described. Beautiful lake and awesome cabin. I really appreciated that the owner turned on the AC before we arrived. The hot tub was excellent. I would advise bringing your own trash bags/toiletries/laundry detergent since they were lacking, absent, or possibly difficult to find. I would definitely recommend this stay.

As others have said, could be cleaner and the mattresses are not the best. But if you are looking for a family friendly cabin in a great location with a clean, fun lake that you can swim and fish in, this is your place. Perfect place for family time on the deck, grilling, water time and fun!

Great location nice place. Hot tub nice. 8 people were able to stay comfortably. Parking a little tight with 2 trucks, 2 24’ trailers and a suv but able to make it work. Will definitely use again when in the area.

Nancy was very helpful and professional with any questions that I had. She responded in a timely manner and made sure we had everything we needed.

Great location with tons to do. The underground kayaking is so fun but very cold! Dress warmer than you think (pants & long sleves). The cabin is a little rustic for the price but overall fair. We had to bring more essentials than expected (toilet paper, towels, spices, utensils, laundry soap). The lake is small but nice for paddle boards/kayaks and catch & release fishing. The local resturaunts are terrific with great service. Tons of hiking trails within a 20-30 min drive or less. Check in was easy with easy to follow directions. Very friendly customer service. We had a group of 10 that fit comfortably within the home.

The cabin was located in a great location however my family and I were not too comfortable staying here. The floors need to be washed, the master bathroom had a musty smell, the armrests on the sofa were darkened with grime from hands, several of the cushions are torn in the back with stuffing falling out, the dining table is sticky (either dirty or may be due to an issue with the varnish?). Would have appreciated at least 1 cleaning product available for the counters/table. Overall this is a tired cabin that could be amazing with some sprucing up and some warmth brought into it.

Our group had a great time staying here. We were able to take full advantage of the lake and all of the nearby hiking trails.

We had a great stay! It was in a great location with all the places we wanted to go and plenty of space. The place definitely needed a quick sweep before we checked in but no complaints other than that :). I would stay here in the future! Hopefully in the summer months so we can use the Lake!

This cabin was pretty as expected. Lots of room for the 8 of us who had been there. Plenty of convenience stores, and a Walmart not too far away. You are also located right next to the Zipline course, and about ten minutes from the Gorge Underground. Be ready to have other plans if attending in the winter time, as there isn't a ton of other things to do. Perfect location for climbers. Overall we gave it 4 stars due to the cleanliness. The ground was still a bit dirty, the table sticky. But nothing some wipes couldn't fix. Plenty of past visitors have left pots and pans, but still bring some utensils (especially steak knives). Other than that we had a great time!

The location and big windows of this cabin are unbeatable! Great space for me and my group. However, make sure to bring toiletries and cleaning supplies!

We enjoyed our stay at Lakeside Wonder! The location is perfect and would be a wonderful spot to visit during the summer to take full advantage of the beautiful pond. Cabin is well equipped and the lay out is great with plenty of room for our family. Nice big deck and the fire pit was a plus!

This house is clean and well kept and the host responds quickly. The only problem is that there were no towels, blankets, cleaning or paper products provided. Other than that, it’s a beautiful cabin.

Great place to get away for the weekend! Lots of great memories made here with friends, and very comfortable for our large group. The numerous windows gave a fantastic morning view!

Great get away for the family. Easy access to fishing, and close to trails.

Nice cabin in a nice location. Definitely would recommend going closer to summer to utilize the lake for swimming. Especially if you have children. Good experience overall

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The kids really enjoyed the lake and there was plenty of room inside for us to enjoy ourselves. The place was clean and the kitchen had plenty of what we needed to make it feel like home. We would definitely stay here again, the lake was pretty amazing!
