Beautiful Deck overlooking the trees! Near Red River Gorge, KY.
Captivating, stunning, 2-BR, 2-BA ranch style cabin with huge outdoor deck for entertaining. Cabin view is secluded and overlooks forested area. Located in Cliffview Resort and close to other cabins if need more bedrooms for large gatherings. Hot tub is outside on deck, under cover. Cabin is spacious and has all the features of home : central heat/AC, dish washer, satellite tv, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, gas and charcoal grill, deck furniture, firepit. Newly built in 2021. One Bedroom has a queen bed; second bedroom has 2 queens. Sleeps 6. Each bedroom has its own full bathroom. One bathroom has shower/tub; second bathroom has shower. Has corn hole boards; bring your own bean bags.
Driveway currently requires sharp left hand turn but is newly paved as of May 2022. Two wheel drive cars are fine. Fishing ponds, hiking trails & Zipline located within Cliffview Resort. Catch & Release Fishing only.
One, well-behaved dog is allowed with a pet fee. Pets are not allowed on the furniture or the beds or an additional fee may apply.

Policies
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations or changes to reservations must be made by the person listed on the reservation. Cancellations must be made at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival date and a $50 cancellation fee is applied. If a reservation is canceled within 3 weeks of arrival, money received will be forfeited unless cabin is re-rented for the same number of nights. You may choose to reschedule your visit one time if cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to arrival for small cabin or 21 days if large cabin. Scenic Cabin Rentals is not responsible for inclement weather, illness, someone in your party “backing out”, etc
Deposit Policy
A credit card is required to be on hold in case of damage. Renters paying by credit card may pay the full amount at time of reservation or pay half on card at time of reservation and half 3 weeks prior to trip. Online bookings require full credit card payment upfront. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, money orders and checks. Renters wishing to pay by check may do so by submitting check 3 weeks prior to arrival date. We reserve the right to require a credit card to hold the cabin, to cover damages, or to charge for “illegal or non-disclosed” pets or for non-compliance of trash policy. People paying by check without a credit card or using pre-paid credit card may pay the extra $350 upfront and this money will be returned once cabin has been inspected. We do not share any credit information with any customers or third parties, all credit card information is kept private.

Great place to stay! Plan to stay here again! Nice secluded location, very clean. Wifi worked well, beds were comfy, kitchen was very nice to cook in. Hot tub was fantastic and relaxing.

The cabin checks all of the boxes for us: quiet, good price, easy to get to, clean, modern, and cozy.
It’s nestled among a community of cabins but is still secluded. The roadways leading back to the cabin are paved and well maintained, meaning that they are easily accessed by a sedan or small car, although some steep hills may be difficult during inclement weather.
Key hand off was very easy via a small office not far from the main highway. The host provided a printed copy of clear directions in case cell reception was lost during the drive to 20 minute drive between the office and the cabin.
Rules/cleaning requirements were very standard and reasonable. Check-out procedures took all of five minutes.

We really enjoyed our stay at Above the Pines!! The patio was a great place to sit and visit while enjoying the view. The open kitchen and living room area was nice to just hang out in. The sun coming through the high windows was a nice feature.
We were able to use ggl maps by typing in the name of our cabin Above The Pines and it took us right to it.

Above the pines is a perfect secluded cabin for a family of 4. Everything we needed for cooking and sleeping were provided. The hot tub was perfect to get into after a long day of hiking. Would recommend to stay here again.

My family and I visited Above The Pines on a whim. And WOW!! Our request was accepted and we were in the cabin within 16 hours. The communication was immaculate and I felt very welcome to stay in this beautiful place. I am from the Gorge area and I absolutely loved the location of this cabin, down winding roads on top of a mountain! When we got in everything was clean and looked very cute and well put together. I loved the windows, tall ceilings, and the deck. PLUS THE HOT TUB!!! It felt so amazing to be in the crisp air relaxing in the hot tub, just what I needed. My four year old son was in heaven, thinking this was our “new house” lol. The washer and dryer is an added bonus!! I was able to wash towels and now we’re headed home with all clean laundry. I will say we had some visitors, aka bugs

Very excellent place for a group! We loved the hottub, the wifi was uninterrupted, the dogs loved the placed (very dog friendly) with a covered patio. Had everything we needed for the area, the beds were tough memory foam so different then a normal bed. The firepit area was on a hill so difficult to sit around in a circle but it was made in the best location for it. We will be coming back!

Overall the cabin was wonderful, and definitely worth the money.
Check in, cabin entrance (enter into a bedroom) and checkout “rules” are a little crazy. I shouldn’t have to clean to that extent for a rental that I’ve paid a “cleaning fee” for.
I would stay again, the cabin was nice, the amenities were great. It was clean, newer and for the money— worth every penny.

the cabin was great, super clean, the 2 bathrooms worked out well. We loved the hot tub. The cabin was not super private but if there were leaves on the trees you probably couldn't see the other houses. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Check in was super easy. We were getting away for a short romantic weekend and this cabin was awesome! we will definitely be checking out some of the other rentals on the property too. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful stay
